Privacy Notice

October 2026

Niceggie ("we," "us," "our") and its affiliates are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. This notice sets forth how we protect, collect, and use your personal data and tells you about your privacy rights.

I. INTRODUCTION

This notice applies when you visit our websites, including www.niceggie.com and the Niceggie Help Center, when you use the Niceggie web applications, and when you install or use a Niceggie browser extension (together, our "services"). It also applies if we otherwise identify you as a potential customer or if you provide services to us. In these situations we are acting as a data controller with respect to your personal data, that is when we determine why and how your personal data is processed.

Our services also process further categories of data that are not personal data about you as a visitor: Seller Business Data, Buyer Personal Information and Creator Information, which reach us when a seller connects a marketplace store, mailbox or storefront to Niceggie or uses our creator outreach features. With respect to Buyer Personal Information and Creator Information we act as a processor on the seller's behalf, and the seller remains the controller. Section VII sets out how we handle these categories, including the limits on who inside our corporate group may access them.

Contact us at privacy@niceggie.com with any questions related to this notice or your privacy rights.

Any changes made to this privacy notice will be posted on this page. Please check back frequently to see any updates or changes.

This website may contain links to and from other websites of other businesses from time to time. If you follow a link to any of these other websites of other businesses, please note that they have their own privacy notices and that we do not accept any responsibility or liability for their privacy obligations. Please check their privacy notices before you submit any personal data or consent to any personal data collection at these websites.

II. TYPES OF DATA WE COLLECT AND HOW WE COLLECT

Personal information, or personal data, means any information about an individual from which that person can be identified. We may collect, use, store and transfer different kinds of personal data about you which we collect from various sources as described below:

  • Identity Data includes your email address and the password you set, and any name or phone number you add to your account. We collect this data directly from you when you set up an account with us to use our services. If you choose to sign in with a Google or Microsoft account, we receive your name and email address from that provider to create or access your Niceggie account; we never receive your Google or Microsoft password.
  • Contact Data includes name, email address, work details, address and telephone numbers. We collect this data from you when you request information about our products and services or create an account to use our services. We may also collect this data from third parties, such as trusted lead generators or from publicly available sources such as Linked In and other websites.
  • Communications Data includes the content of the messages you send us, for example through a contact or demo-request form, the chat assistant on our websites, support email, or a survey (such as the optional survey shown when you uninstall a browser extension).
  • Publication Data includes details you choose to publish via our websites to others including your Identity Data and Contact Data when you provide testimonials on our websites.
  • Transaction Data applies if you purchase a paid plan, and includes details of the plans you have purchased and the payments you have made. Payments are made through our payment processor (see Payments via our websites below), which provides us only with limited payment details; we do not receive or store your full card number. The source of Transaction Data is yourself and our payment processor.
  • Technical Data includes internet protocol (IP) address, browser type and version, time zone setting and location, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform and other technology on the devices you use to access our websites. We collect this data by the use of cookies and other similar technologies. See our Cookie Policy for details.
  • Usage Data includes information about how you use our websites, web applications and browser extensions. We use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to collect this data by way of cookies and similar technologies. Microsoft Clarity records how our pages are used — such as clicks, scrolling and pointer movement — to produce heatmaps and session replays that help us find and fix usability problems. See our Cookie Policy for further details.
  • Browser Extension Data is the data our browser extensions process when you use them. Section VIII describes it.
  • Marketing and Communications Data includes your preferences in receiving marketing communications from us. We collect this information when you sign up for our newsletters, request a demo or other information about our products and services, sign up for a trial or create a user account with us and when you update us with your marketing preferences at any time.
  • Profile Data is information about your interests and how you use our services, built up from a combination of information, for example, your name, username, the plans you use, your online behavior and browsing patterns on our websites, the electronic devices you use, your interests, preferences, any feedback and survey responses. We collect this information directly from you when you communicate such information to us, from cookies and other similar technologies on our websites, and from third party publicly available sources. See our Cookie Policy for further details.

If you connect a marketplace store, mailbox or storefront to Niceggie, embed a Niceggie presales agent on your storefront, or use our creator outreach features, we also receive Seller Business Data, Buyer Personal Information and Creator Information. These are not personal data about you as a website visitor and are not covered by the categories above; Section VII sets out what they are and how we handle them.

We may also collect, use and share Anonymized Data and Aggregated Data such as statistical or demographic data for any purpose. Anonymized and aggregated data may be derived from your personal data but is not considered personal data in law as this data does not directly or indirectly reveal your identity. For example, we may aggregate statistics to understand usage of our websites.

We do not collect any Special Categories of Personal Data about you (this includes details about your race or ethnicity, religious or philosophical beliefs, sex life, sexual orientation, political opinions, trade union membership, information about your health and genetic and biometric data). Nor do we collect any information about criminal convictions and offences.

We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you learn that your children have provided us with Personal Information, please contact us. If we become aware that we have collected Personal Information from a child under age 13 without verification of parental consent, we take steps to remove that information from our servers.

You will receive our marketing communications if you have specifically consented to receive them.

If you have already purchased our products and services and/or signed up for a trial, we may send you information about our similar products or services under soft opt-in consent. Consent in this scenario is taken as given because you have signed up to receive our services already.

You can unsubscribe from our marketing messages at any time by following the opt-out links on any marketing message sent to you or by emailing privacy@niceggie.com at any time.

Marketing, advertising and profiling

We use Usage Data and Profile Data to understand which types of businesses are interested in our services and to make our communications to you relevant. We do not currently place third-party advertising pixels or advertising cookies on our websites, and we do not share your personal data with advertising platforms to target advertising at you. If that changes, we will update this notice and our Cookie Policy first and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent before doing so. You can object to this use of your data at any time by emailing privacy@niceggie.com. We do not make any decisions based on profiling which produce legal effects on you.

Payments and Profiling

If you purchase a paid plan, our payment processor uses technology to help it make decisions about financial transactions and your card payments which may prevent you from accessing our services or continuing to use our services. In this role, our Payment Processor acts as controller and may monitor insights and patterns of payment transactions and other online signals to reduce the risk of fraud, money laundering and other harmful activity. This activity is carried out in accordance with the Payment Processor's respective privacy policy.

IV. PROVIDING YOUR PERSONAL DATA TO OTHERS

Payments via our websites

If you purchase a paid plan, payment is made using the payment service provided by a third-party payment processor ( Payment Processor ). You will be directed to the designated third-party payment processor service to enter your card and other billing details.

In processing payment transactions, the Payment Processor acts as a data processor to us but in carrying out fraud monitoring, prevention and detection services, it acts as controller and may monitor insights and patterns of payment transactions and other online signals to reduce the risk of fraud, money laundering and other harmful activity. This activity is carried out in accordance with the respective Payment Processor's privacy policy.

On completion of payment, our Payment Processor will provide us with limited payment details (your name, billing address, billing email, card type, expiry date and the last four digits of your payment card number) so that we can manage payment transactions and your account. Full payment details are held securely by the Payment Processor.

Others with whom we may share personal data

We share limited personal data with niceggie affiliates only to the extent required to provide our services and for internal administration purposes. We do not share Seller Business Data, Buyer Personal Information or Creator Information with Newegg's first-party retail or merchandising business, or with any affiliate acting in a retail or merchandising capacity. See Section VII.

We share your personal data with selected third parties, including:

  • third party service providers who we use to help manage our business, including hosting, analytics (Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity) and AI providers. Please email privacy@niceggie.com if you would like details of our service providers.
  • the marketplaces, mailbox providers and third party apps you connect to our services, but only when a feature you use sends content to them on your instructions — for example, when you submit a listing update to your store or send a reply to a buyer.
  • insurers and/or professional advisers insofar as reasonably necessary for the purposes of obtaining or maintaining insurance coverage, managing risks, obtaining professional advice, or the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims.
  • taxation authorities, regulators, law enforcement agencies and other authorities if required by such authorities or by due process of law.
  • third parties to whom we may choose to sell, transfer, or merge parts of our business or our assets.

V. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS

We store and process personal data, Seller Business Data, Buyer Personal Information and Creator Information in the United States. If you are located outside the United States, including in the United Kingdom (UK), the European Economic Area (EEA), Switzerland or Mainland China, your personal data will be transferred to and processed in the United States.

We will only transfer your personal data in compliance with applicable data protection laws and with appropriate safeguards in place to protect it, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK International Data Transfer Addendum where they are required. If you are in Mainland China, please also see our Privacy Policy – China.

Please email privacy@niceggie.com if you would like details of the appropriate safeguards we have in place for transfers of data outside of the UK or EEA.

VI. THIRD PARTY API INTEGRATION AND DATA SECURITY

We may integrate with third-party APIs to enhance our services. We are committed to ensuring that any data shared with these third-party services is used responsibly and securely. In certain specialized features, we utilize AI to enhance our services. Any data processed through third-party APIs is solely used for the purpose of providing Niceggie's services.

We do not use your personal data, Seller Business Data, Buyer Personal Information or Creator Information to develop, train, fine-tune or otherwise improve any artificial intelligence or machine learning model. This applies to our own models as well as to generalized models operated by third parties, and it applies to data obtained in any way, including through sign-in providers, connected mailboxes, marketplace APIs and our browser extensions. Where we use a third-party AI provider to generate output for you, we contract for that provider not to use the data we send it to train its models. We may use anonymized, aggregated statistics that do not identify you, your business, any buyer or any creator to measure and improve our services.

Sign in with Google or Microsoft. If you sign in with a Google or Microsoft account, we use the information we receive from that provider only to create your Niceggie account and sign you in. Niceggie's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Connected mailboxes. When you connect a support mailbox, you either authorize access through the provider's sign-in (for example, Microsoft Outlook) or give us an app password or authorization code that your provider generates for mail access (for example, Gmail and other IMAP/SMTP mailboxes). We use that access only to sync the mailbox's messages into Niceggie and to send the replies you approve or the automated replies you set up. You can disconnect a mailbox at any time, and you can also revoke the app password or authorization at your mail provider.

We work hard to protect your information. All user data will be encrypted and user sensitive information is removed before storage to ensure that no user information is compromised. We have put in place appropriate security measures to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorized way, altered or disclosed. In addition, we restrict access to your personal data to Niceggie's employees, agents, contractors and other third parties who need that information in order to process it. Anyone with this access is subject to strict confidentiality obligations and may be disciplined or terminated if they fail to meet these obligations.

We have put in place procedures to deal with any suspected personal data breach and will notify you and any applicable regulator of a breach where we are legally required to do so.

VII. SELLER BUSINESS DATA, BUYER PERSONAL INFORMATION AND CREATOR INFORMATION

This section applies to sellers who connect a marketplace store, mailbox or storefront to Niceggie, embed a Niceggie presales agent, or use our creator outreach features, and to the data we process on their behalf. It is in addition to the rest of this notice.

The three categories

  • Seller Business Data means the commercial data of your business that we receive when you connect a store or upload content, including store and API credentials, product listings and product images, orders, inventory, pricing, fees, and the content you create or edit using our services.
  • Buyer Personal Information means personal information about your buyers and shoppers that reaches us through a connected store or mailbox, or through a presales agent you embed on your storefront, including buyer names, delivery addresses, contact details, order details, shipping and tracking status, the content of buyer messages, emails and support tickets, and the conversations and contact details shoppers share with your presales agent.
  • Creator Information means information about the creators you discover or contact through our creator outreach features, including their public profile and performance information shown on the marketplace's creator pages, the creator groups you build, and the outreach messages you send them.

Our role

With respect to Buyer Personal Information and Creator Information we act as a processor and you act as the controller. We process them only on your documented instructions, which for these purposes are the settings and actions you take in Niceggie. If you need a separate data processing agreement to meet your own obligations, email privacy@niceggie.com.

Purpose limitation

We use Seller Business Data, Buyer Personal Information and Creator Information only to provide, secure and support the Niceggie services for you: to generate drafts and content you review, to display your data back to you, to operate the features you have enabled, to prevent abuse, and to provide support you request. We do not use any of these categories for our own commercial purposes, for advertising, or for profiling.

No use by Newegg's retail business

Niceggie is operated as a product incubated inside Newegg and is run separately from Newegg's first-party retail and merchandising business. Newegg's first-party retail and merchandising business does not have access to your Seller Business Data, Buyer Personal Information or Creator Information, and we do not disclose any of them to it. Where Newegg teams use Niceggie, they do so as customers of Niceggie and their access is limited to their own account in the same way as any other customer's.

Access within Niceggie is limited to personnel who need it to operate or support the services, is logged, and is subject to confidentiality obligations.

No AI training

We do not use Seller Business Data, Buyer Personal Information or Creator Information to train, fine-tune or otherwise improve any artificial intelligence or machine learning model, including our own. See Section VI.

Service providers

We use third-party infrastructure and AI providers to deliver the services. They may process Seller Business Data, Buyer Personal Information or Creator Information only on our instructions, only to provide their service to us, and under contractual confidentiality and security obligations that include a prohibition on training their models on that data. Email privacy@niceggie.com for details of the providers we use.

Third-party platform credentials

Store and API credentials you grant us are used only to make the calls needed for the features you have enabled. You can disconnect a store at any time from your account, which revokes our access going forward. Disconnecting a store does not by itself revoke any authorization you granted on the marketplace's own side; you should also remove the authorization there if you want it withdrawn completely.

Updates written back to your store

Some features can write content back to your connected store — for example, Listing AI Store sync, which updates the title, bullet points, description and image gallery of an Amazon listing. These features write only the fields you select, and only when you submit the update. So that you can undo your most recent update, we keep a copy of the content it replaced; that copy is Seller Business Data and is deleted as described below.

Retention and deletion

We delete Seller Business Data, Buyer Personal Information and Creator Information within 30 days after you disconnect the relevant store or close your account, except where we are required to retain specific records to comply with a legal obligation or to resolve a dispute, in which case we retain only what is required and for no longer than required. You can request export or deletion at any time by emailing privacy@niceggie.com.

Buyer and creator requests

If a buyer or creator asks us to exercise rights over their personal information, we will refer them to the seller as controller and assist that seller in responding, rather than acting on the request ourselves.

VIII. BROWSER EXTENSIONS

This section applies when you install or use a Niceggie browser extension, such as Listing AI. It is in addition to the rest of this notice.

Where the extensions run

Each extension runs only on the websites its features need: the supported marketplace product pages and seller tools (for example Amazon, Newegg, eBay, Walmart, Best Buy, Mercado Libre, TikTok Shop and the TikTok Affiliate Center) and Niceggie's own pages. The extensions do not read the other websites you visit and do not collect your browsing history.

What the extensions process

  • Page content you use a feature on. When you run a feature on a page — for example, diagnosing or rewriting a listing, generating images, or capturing a product's gallery — the extension reads the relevant content of that page, such as the product title, bullet points, description, specifications, images, product identifier and page address, and sends it to our servers to provide the feature. Images you choose to save are stored in your cloud library. On creator outreach pages the extension processes the creator information shown on the page and the messages you send, and on customer service pages it processes the buyer messages you work on; these are Creator Information and Buyer Personal Information under Section VII.
  • Your account. The extension keeps a sign-in token so that it can act for your Niceggie account.
  • Settings and working data. Preferences, drafts, task progress and similar working data are kept in your browser's extension storage.
  • Usage events. The extension records which features you use, when a task succeeds or fails, and the extension version, so that we can measure and improve our services.
  • Store updates. If you connect a store and submit an update from the extension, it is handled as described under Updates written back to your store in Section VII.

Limited Use

The use of information received from our browser extensions adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use extension data only to provide and improve the extension's features; we do not sell it, use it for advertising, or use it to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.

Uninstalling

Uninstalling an extension removes the data kept in your browser's extension storage. Data stored on our servers, such as your cloud library and optimization history, remains part of your account until you delete it or close your account, and is handled under Sections VII and IX. When you uninstall, we may ask you to complete an optional survey.

IX. PERSONAL DATA RETENTION AND DELETION

We will retain your personal data for as long as necessary to provide you with our services and for so long as you do not wish to unsubscribe from our marketing communications. We will also retain your personal data as necessary to fulfil our contractual obligations and to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

Where we no longer need to process your personal data for the purposes set out in Section III of this privacy notice, we will delete your personal data from our systems unless we need to retain a limited amount of information to make sure that we act in accordance with your wishes.

Where permissible, we will also delete your personal data on your request. Information on how to make a deletion request can be found in Section X below.

Please email privacy@niceggie.com if you would like details of our retention periods for different kinds of personal data.

Note, this right only applies to information that is processed by automated means which you initially provide consent for us to use or where we used the information to perform a contract with you.

  • Right to object — You have the right to: ask Niceggie to not process your personal data for direct marketing purposes; to object, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to the processing of your personal data (including profiling) where we are relying on a legitimate interest.

  • Right to withdraw consent — You have the right to withdraw consent at any time where we are relying on consent to process your personal data. However, this will not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out before you withdraw your consent.

  • Right to complain — You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority applicable to you if you are unhappy with the way Niceggie is handling your personal data
