What happened?
Newegg announced that its annual summer sale, FantasTech, will take place on its U.S. and Canadian sites from June 22 to 28, 2026. The sale will cover key categories including desktop computers, laptops, PC components, storage, and gaming devices. To improve conversion, Newegg introduced its “FantasTech Price Protection” policy: if users purchase designated products during the June 15–21 preview period and the price drops during the sale, the platform will automatically process a refund for the difference without requiring a manual request.
What does this mean for cross-border sellers?
Sellers participating in the Newegg sale should plan inventory and pricing in advance. Using the platform’s price-protection mechanism can help attract traffic during the preview period and reduce logistics pressure on the main sale days.
