What happened?
Newegg announced that its core summer promotion, FantasTech, will begin on June 22, 2026, and run through June 28. The event covers the U.S. and Canadian markets. To encourage early shopping, Newegg is offering a price protection mechanism: for products marked with price protection and purchased from June 15 to June 21, the system will automatically refund the difference if the price falls by June 28, without requiring a manual request from the seller or buyer.
What does this mean for cross-border sellers?
Sellers participating in the promotion should prepare inventory and adjust pricing strategies in advance. Because of the price protection mechanism, sellers should keep promotional pricing stable to avoid profit fluctuations caused by frequent automatic refunds.
