What happened?
Amazon Seller Central’s fee page shows that peak-season fulfillment fees for U.S. Multi-Channel Fulfillment (MCF) orders will apply from October 15, 2026, through January 14, 2027. In addition to the peak-season base rates, the 3.5% fuel and logistics surcharge implemented on May 2, 2026, will continue to be added. Products containing lithium batteries will incur an additional $0.11 per unit. If sellers require orders not to be delivered by Amazon Logistics, the otherwise applicable 5% surcharge is temporarily waived through January 14, 2027. In remote areas including Alaska, Hawaii, Guam, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands, standard-size products may incur a 100% remote-area surcharge, while larger-size products may incur a surcharge of up to 200%. The adjustment directly affects sellers using Amazon inventory to fulfill orders for their own websites, Walmart, eBay, or other channels. Sellers with low average order values, small and light products, lithium-battery products, large home goods, or high cross-channel fulfillment ratios need to recalculate order gross margins and shipping templates.
What does this mean for cross-border sellers?
U.S. MCF peak-season fulfillment fees will apply from October 15, 2026, through January 14, 2027, in addition to the 3.5% fuel and logistics surcharge. Fulfillment costs for lithium-battery, remote-area, and oversized orders may rise further, so sellers should recalculate cross-channel order margins and shipping templates.
What should sellers do now?
- 1Before October 15, organize MCF products for the own website, Walmart, eBay, and other channels. Classify them by standard size, larger size, and cross-channel fulfillment ratio, then complete a new shipping-template list.Dimensional weight
- 2For lithium-battery products, add the $0.11 per-unit fee and the 3.5% fuel and logistics surcharge to recalculate order margins. Produce a keep-and-adjust list for low-average-order-value products.Profit calculator
- 3Review orders shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, Guam, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Flag the risk of a 100% surcharge for standard-size products and a 200% surcharge for larger-size products.
- 4Review channel orders requiring delivery not to use Amazon Logistics. Confirm whether the temporary waiver of the 5% surcharge through January 14, 2027, applies, and leave a verification record in the shipping templates.Marketplace fee compare
