- 2Applies to goods in consignments with a total intrinsic value of no more than €150
- 3eBay International Shipping will attempt to extract data from listings

- 5Missing or incorrect PIDs could cause shipping interruptions
What happened?
eBay’s update to sellers says that from November 1, 2026, goods sold online and imported into the EU with a total intrinsic consignment value of no more than €150 must include Product Identifiers (PIDs) and other product identification information for EU customs to verify product details.
For sellers using eBay International Shipping, the platform will attempt to extract the relevant data from the listing and transmit it to the carrier and customs authorities. Sellers using SpeedPAK or arranging their own shipping must ensure that accurate product information is included in the customs documentation.
Missing or incorrect PIDs could result in carrier rejection, customs clearance delays, or delivery interruptions. The announcement says sellers of clothing, toys, electronic accessories, and small home goods, as well as small and midsize sellers handling mixed shipments with multiple SKUs, are likely to be more significantly affected.
The relevant information includes the brand, model, manufacturer, commodity code, and listing attributes. Sellers cannot rely only on the title or SKU.
What does this mean for cross-border sellers?
From November 1, 2026, relevant imports into the EU with a total intrinsic consignment value of no more than €150 must include accurate PIDs. Missing or incorrect data could cause rejection, customs delays, or delivery interruptions. Sellers of clothing, toys, electronic accessories, and small home goods, especially those handling multiple SKUs, should review listing information and confirm that the data reaches the customs documentation.
What should sellers do now?
- 1This week, export listings for clothing, toys, electronic accessories, and small home goods shipped to the EU in consignments with a total intrinsic value of no more than €150. Complete the brand, model, manufacturer, commodity code, and attributes for each listing, and produce a list of missing fields.Listing Optimizer
