Walmart Cross Border: Imports has launched Priority Ocean as part of a recent logistics update. The service currently applies to full-container load (FCL) shipments departing from the Chinese ports of Ningbo, Shanghai, and Yantian and destined for Southern California in the United States. Walmart says Priority Ocean can save approximately seven days on average from the port to the final destination compared with Standard Ocean.
Actual transit times still depend on vessel schedules, US customs clearance, warehouse receiving capacity, and reserved WFS processing capacity. Priority space is not available for every shipment. Sellers may see the option, its price, transit time, and estimated arrival date only when they create an FCL appointment and Walmart warehouses have matching receiving capacity. The change is mainly relevant to brand sellers using WFS, stocking the US from China by FCL, and facing high sensitivity to peak-season replenishment speed.
