What happened?
Walmart WFS materials state that standard apparel products incur an additional $0.50 fulfillment fee. Hazardous materials, including chemicals, aerosols, pesticides, and batteries, also incur an additional $0.50. Products priced below $10 incur a further $1 low-priced-item surcharge.
At the same time, WFS’s prohibited-products policy states that certain products and categories cannot use WFS without written approval from the account manager and Walmart’s compliance team. Products that violate laws, platform rules, or brand-safety requirements may be removed, and the seller account may be suspended or terminated.
The rules have a greater impact on chargers, power banks, products containing lithium batteries, beauty devices, chemicals, outdoor products, and low-priced items. Cross-border sellers should prepare SDS, UN38.3, MSDS, battery test reports, product certifications, and US labeling materials in advance. They should not determine WFS eligibility solely from a logistics provider’s statement that a product is “transportable.”
