What happened?
Amazon's announcement states that the 2026 peak-season fulfillment fees will affect US FBA, Remote Fulfillment with FBA from the US to Canada and Mexico, Multi-Channel Fulfillment (MCF) in the US and Canada, and Buy with Prime. These services will enter the peak-season rate period from October 15, 2026, through January 14, 2027. Peak-season rates are added to standard fulfillment fees, with the exact amount calculated separately based on product size, weight, and fulfillment program. Previously implemented fuel and logistics surcharges will continue to apply. Small and midsize sellers that rely on FBA, MCF, or cross-border Remote Fulfillment may be affected more heavily, particularly for low-average-order-value, lightweight, small-size, and low-margin products. Sellers should recalculate per-unit profit, maximum advertising spend, and promotional discounts before October 15 rather than relying only on standard rates. Amazon said the applicable peak-season rates can be viewed in the Revenue Calculator, Fee and Economics Preview, and Profit Analytics.
What does this mean for cross-border sellers?
From October 15, 2026, through January 14, 2027, US FBA, Remote Fulfillment with FBA, MCF, and Buy with Prime will apply peak-season fulfillment fees, while fuel and logistics surcharges will continue to be added. Recalculate per-unit profit, advertising limits, and promotional room for low-average-order-value, lightweight, small-size, and low-margin products.
