What happened?
Amazon has updated delivery requirements for Fulfilled by Merchant (FBM) sellers on Amazon UK, introducing a business-hour delivery rate metric. From September 30, 2026, sellers must maintain a business-hour delivery rate of at least 90%, meaning orders shipped to Amazon Business customers should be delivered during the customers’ business hours. From October 30, 2026, affected non-compliant Listings may be deactivated or no longer displayed to business customers if sellers remain below the requirement. The rule affects FBM sellers shipping to the UK from China, Hong Kong, Southeast Asia and other European countries. Sellers using economy logistics, cross-border forwarding or services with unstable delivery times require particular attention. Amazon recommends selecting reliable carriers, accurately setting handling and transit times, and using Automated Handling Time, Shipping Settings Automation and Amazon Buy Shipping. Sellers should also review the relevant metrics in the Account Health Dashboard and reassess logistics routes and promised delivery times for UK business orders.
What does this mean for cross-border sellers?
UK FBM sellers need to closely manage delivery times for Amazon Business customers. From September 30, 2026, the business-hour delivery rate must be at least 90%. Listings that remain below the requirement may be deactivated from October 30, 2026, or stop being displayed to business customers; economy logistics and unstable delivery routes carry higher risk.
