What happened?
Amazon US announced that, starting October 26, 2026, additional dangerous goods compliance questions will appear when certain products are used to create or edit Listings. The scope includes refrigerators, air conditioners, freezers and other products that may contain refrigerants, as well as shock absorbers and suspension lift supports, markers and writing instruments, and pool and spa water-treatment products. Sellers must provide information on refrigerant attributes, damping mechanisms, ink characteristics, chemical composition and packaging, as applicable to the product. The change primarily affects sellers of auto parts, home appliances, stationery, chemicals and home-maintenance products, particularly sellers using FBA. If answers are incomplete or inaccurate, products may not go live smoothly; sellers may also be asked to provide additional documents, and available shipping methods and inventory handling may be affected. Existing Listings do not need to be resubmitted by August 31, but the relevant questions will be triggered the next time they are edited.
What does this mean for cross-border sellers?
