eBay Adds Promoted Offsite Campaign Goals and Product Prioritization
eBay has updated Promoted Offsite, allowing sellers to choose campaign goals and optimization methods and prioritize products by category, price, inventory, and other conditions.
What are the key facts?
- 1eBay updated Promoted Offsite around October 28, 2026
- 2Sellers can choose more specific optimization methods and campaign goals
- 3Products can be grouped and prioritized using multiple conditions
- 4Products with lower priority are not completely excluded
What happened?
eBay US updated how Promoted Offsite works. When creating a campaign, sellers can choose more specific optimization methods and campaign goals, and set priorities through product groups. Grouping conditions include category, price range, days listed, inventory quantity, and item condition. Sellers can also view examples of how ads may appear on external channels such as Google Shopping and Bing. Promoted Offsite remains a full-inventory campaign; products assigned a lower priority are not completely excluded but receive relatively less emphasis in delivery. After a campaign goes live, the optimization method and campaign goal cannot be changed, while product-priority adjustments generally affect the next optimization cycle within 24 hours.
What does this mean for cross-border sellers?
eBay US Promoted Offsite now allows sellers to allocate advertising emphasis by campaign goal, optimization method, and product conditions, which supports more precise allocation for sellers with large inventories or significant margin differences. The campaign still covers the full inventory, so lowering a product’s priority does not stop delivery. Campaign goals and optimization methods cannot be changed after launch.
What should sellers do now?
- 1Before creating an eBay US Promoted Offsite campaign, organize a SKU priority table by category, price range, inventory quantity, and item condition. Mark high-margin and priority products and complete a grouping list that can be applied directly.ACoS / ROAS calculator
- 2Select campaign goals and optimization methods for each product group, and first review ad examples on Google Shopping and Bing. Before launch, complete a checklist of goals, optimization methods, and example screenshots to avoid settings that cannot be changed after launch.
- 3After launch, prioritize high-margin SKUs and products with sufficient inventory, then review delivery emphasis within 24 hours of the adjustment. Keep the product groups and review results before and after the change, confirming that lower-priority products remain in the full-inventory campaign.
