TikTok Shop U.S. Adds 1% Service Fee to Standard Campaigns
TikTok Shop U.S. has added a 1% Campaign Service Fee to Standard Campaigns, calculated on each order during the campaign period; orders generated before an exit is approved may still incur the fee.
What are the key facts?
- 11% Campaign Service Fee added to Standard Campaigns
- 2Fee calculated on each order during the campaign period
- 3Fee base includes campaign price, seller discount, and consumer-paid shipping fee
- 4Orders generated before campaign exit may still be charged
What happened?
TikTok Shop U.S. updated the registration rules for Standard and Advanced Campaigns. Products participating in Standard Campaign registration campaigns must pay a 1% Campaign Service Fee. The fee is not charged as a one-time amount at registration; instead, it is calculated on each order generated during the campaign period. In the official example, the product’s original price is $100, the seller discount is $10, and the shipping fee paid by the consumer is $5. The service-fee base is therefore $90 plus $5, resulting in a service fee of $0.95. The fee applies to U.S. sellers whose products qualify for and are successfully registered in the campaign. Sellers that rely heavily on major promotions, platform coupons, and high-volume sales of low-margin products should pay particular attention to the cost change. If a seller applies to exit the campaign, orders generated before the exit approval is completed will still incur the service fee, and fees already charged generally will not be refunded because of the exit. Returns or cancellations are handled according to the campaign refund rules.
What does this mean for cross-border sellers?
Products participating in U.S. Standard Campaigns will incur a 1% Campaign Service Fee calculated per order based on the campaign price, seller discount, and consumer-paid shipping fee. This will further compress margins on low-margin products. Orders generated before exit approval is completed may still be charged, so do not review costs only after exiting the campaign.
