What happened?
TikTok Shop U.S. updated its Product Ratings feature on October 13, 2026. The new Overview page opens by default and integrates four entry points: Overview, TikTok Shop Reviews, Imported Reviews, and Incentivized Reviews. Sellers can perform fuzzy searches by product name or Product ID and use quick filters such as “No reviews” and “No orders.” The page displays paid orders from the past 30 days, review counts, product ratings, imported reviews, negative reviews, and system-recommended actions. TikTok defines review coverage as the number of online products with at least one displayed review divided by the total number of online products. The negative-review rate is calculated as displayed 1- to 2-star reviews divided by all displayed reviews. The tool is suitable for sellers with many SKUs or those relying on creator distribution or review-driven conversion to identify products with no reviews, low ratings, or concentrated negative feedback. However, the platform explicitly states that recommended actions do not guarantee increases in GMV, conversion rate, or ratings.
What does this mean for cross-border sellers?
Product Ratings Overview consolidates product orders, reviews, ratings, imported reviews, and negative feedback, helping sellers identify SKUs with no reviews, low ratings, or concentrated negative feedback more quickly. It is useful for stores with many SKUs or those relying on creator distribution, but system-recommended actions do not guarantee higher GMV, conversion rates, or ratings.
What should sellers do now?
- 1Open Product Ratings Overview, search all priority U.S. SKUs by product name or Product ID, and use the “No reviews” and “No orders” filters; export a list of products with no reviews or orders.Listing character checker
- 2Review paid orders from the past 30 days, review counts, product ratings, and negative reviews for priority products, and rank them by the concentration of displayed 1- to 2-star reviews; produce a list of priority SKUs for action.Listing Optimizer
- 3For SKUs relying on creator distribution or review-driven conversion, check all four entry points—Overview, TikTok Shop Reviews, Imported Reviews, and Incentivized Reviews—and complete a review-source checklist.
- 4Record the current status of each product based on review coverage and negative-review rate, then execute the page’s recommended actions; retain before-and-after data and do not treat system recommendations as a guarantee of higher GMV, conversion rates, or ratings.Profit calculator
