What happened?
Amazon’s seasonal inventory notice states that, for relevant ASINs using U.S. FBA, some meltable inventory may be sent to fulfillment centers again starting August 31, 2026. Products such as gummies, protein bars, cookies, and coated candy are expected to resume consumer sales from September 14, 2026. Chocolate, chocolate-coated nuts, fruit caramels, and gelatin gummies may be shipped into fulfillment centers from September 21, 2026, and are expected to become available for sale again from October 5, 2026. The rule does not apply to all ordinary food products and does not mean that every seller can send inventory without conditions. Products must still meet food, labeling, packaging, shelf-life, and temperature-control requirements. For cross-border sellers, these dates affect replenishment planning, U.S. warehouse inventory turnover, summer shipping risks, and Prime availability dates. Missing the dates or using non-compliant packaging may result in rejected shipments, disposal, or inventory becoming unavailable.
