What happened?
Amazon Seller Central reiterated that the 2026 US FBA peak-season delivery-fee period runs from October 15, 2026, through January 14, 2027. The scope includes US FBA, Remote Fulfillment from the US to Canada and Mexico, Multi-Channel Fulfillment in the US and Canada, and Amazon Buy with Prime. Since April 17, 2026, a 3.5% fuel and logistics-related surcharge has applied to US and Canada FBA and certain Remote Fulfillment services. The surcharge is calculated on fulfillment fees rather than product sales, and it will continue to be added to peak-season rates during the peak period. Amazon also stated that FBA fees depend on when an item leaves the fulfillment center. Therefore, even if a customer places an order before October 15, the item may be charged at the peak-season rate if it leaves the fulfillment center on or after October 15. Amazon further advised sellers to recalculate margins for small and light items, apparel, oversize items, furniture, televisions, baby products, and low-average-order-value products, and to check the actual rates in Revenue Calculator, Profit Analytics, and Fee & Economics Preview.
What does this mean for cross-border sellers?
From October 15, 2026, through January 14, 2027, peak-season delivery fees will apply to US FBA and related fulfillment services, while the 3.5% fuel and logistics-related surcharge will continue to stack on top. Fulfillment costs and margins may come under pressure, especially for small and light items, apparel, oversize items, and other listed categories. Sellers must monitor when products actually leave the fulfillment center, not only when orders are placed.
