What happened?
An Amazon US announcement says that inbound shipments to FBA have resumed for some seasonal meltable products. Gummy candy, protein bars, cookies, and coated candy can have inbound plans created from August 31, 2026, and become available for customer orders from September 14, 2026. Chocolate, chocolate-covered nuts, fruit, caramel, and gelatin gummies must wait until September 21, 2026, to resume shipping, with sales scheduled to resume on October 5, 2026. The arrangement applies to the relevant ASINs using US FBA, but the final scope is determined by Amazon’s meltable ASIN list. Sellers of food, candy, snacks, holiday gifts, and health products should recheck inventory planning, temperature-controlled transport, heat-resistant packaging, and sale dates to reduce the risk of heat-related sales restrictions, customer complaints, refunds, and product damage.
What does this mean for cross-border sellers?
US FBA meltable products will resume inbound and sales by category, so sellers should not treat all seasonal products as one batch. Schedule inventory, transportation, and packaging according to the ASIN list and sale dates to avoid restrictions, complaints, refunds, or damage.
What should sellers do now?
- 1Organize relevant US FBA ASINs by category, including gummy candy, protein bars, cookies, coated candy, and chocolate; compare each ASIN with the meltable ASIN list and applicable dates, and create ready-to-ship and pending-shipment tables.Procurement List
- 2Create FBA inbound plans only for eligible ASINs; verify the August 31, 2026, planning date and September 14, 2026, sales date for gummy candy and other applicable products, and record the date review.
- 3For chocolate and other products awaiting sales resumption, check heat-resistant packaging, temperature-controlled transport, and inventory status; specifically verify the September 21, 2026, shipping date and October 5, 2026, sales date, and compile an exceptions list.
