What happened?
TikTok Shop U.K. republished its Seller Terms of Service page on October 10, 2026, explaining the application arrangements for the September 30, 2026 version of the terms. For sellers whose accounts were created on or after September 30 or who accept the updated terms, the new terms take effect immediately. For sellers who joined or accepted the old terms before that date, the old terms temporarily remain in effect until October 30, 2026.
The terms apply to sellers who are U.K. residents or U.K. entities, as well as invited Cross-Border Sellers. They cover seller registration, product compliance, product safety, fees, payments, logistics, platform enforcement, account suspension and termination. For sellers shipping from China to the U.K., key points include confirming which version of the agreement applies and reviewing changes to the platform’s enforcement authority.
Sellers must also confirm whether their shops have switched to the updated terms and review product safety documents, return addresses, tax information, logistics commitments and violation appeal procedures.
What does this mean for cross-border sellers?
Cross-border sellers on the U.K. site should first confirm whether each shop is subject to the updated or old Seller Terms, then review product safety, payments, logistics and platform enforcement requirements accordingly. The old terms remain in effect for existing sellers until October 30, 2026, but the transition to the updated terms and the document review should be completed during the transition period.
What should sellers do now?
- 1Log in to all U.K. site shops, check the account creation date and whether the updated terms have been accepted, record whether the new or old terms apply to each shop, and note the arrangements required before October 30, 2026.Listing character checker
