What happened?
Newegg Seller Academy recently updated its explanation of Item Overage Fees. Sellers can choose to enable or disable the excess-listing feature. If enabled, the system calculates each day which SKUs were newly created or listed the previous day and exceeded the product-count limit for the current membership level, then charges once for each excess item. On the US site, the fees vary by membership level: $0.30 per item for Non-Elite sellers, $0.25 for Professional sellers, and $0.10 for Enterprise sellers. On the Canada site, the corresponding fees are C$0.40, C$0.35, and C$0.25, with taxes charged separately. Once an item incurs an overage fee, it will not be charged again even if it is later delisted and relisted, and the item will no longer count toward the seller’s listing limit. The rules mainly affect assortment-heavy sellers, 3C accessory sellers with large numbers of long-tail SKUs, and cross-border sellers operating both the US and Canada sites.
