What happened?
Starting November 4, 2026, eBay is gradually making eBay Balance available to eligible U.S. individual sellers and sole proprietors. Existing Spendable Funds will convert to eBay Balance, and sales proceeds will remain in the balance by default. Sellers can use the balance to purchase eBay items, buy shipping labels, or promote Listings; according to eBay, these uses do not incur additional fees. Sellers can also withdraw funds at any time or set automatic payouts daily, weekly, biweekly, or monthly. If the balance has no incoming funds, spending, or withdrawal activity for 330 consecutive days, eBay will automatically pay the funds to the linked bank account. The change directly affects cash-flow arrangements for U.S.-based individual sellers and sole proprietors, but does not mean that all business accounts or overseas sellers will automatically qualify. Cross-border sellers need to confirm whether their accounts are included in this rollout in Payments or Seller Hub.
