TikTok Shop Cuts Commission to 4% for New EU Sellers
From June 15, 2026, TikTok Shop will offer eligible new EU sellers a 60-day commission promotion, potentially reducing the rate from 9% to 4%.
What are the key facts?
- 1Standard commission for new EU sellers: 9%
- 2Eligible new sellers may receive a 4% commission rate
- 3Promotion period: 60 calendar days
- 4Policy effective June 15, 2026
What happened?
According to TikTok Shop’s official policy, eligible new sellers may receive a new-store commission promotion in the EU from June 15, 2026. The standard commission is 9% of settled order value. Sellers who open an EU TikTok Shop for the first time, pass platform review, and upload at least five in-stock products in designated countries may qualify for a 4% commission rate for 60 calendar days. The policy lists France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Ireland, Poland, the Netherlands, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Austria, Greece, Portugal, and Hungary as relevant markets. However, the applicable countries and eligibility remain subject to the task received in Seller Center or the platform’s review result. The promotion concerns commission calculations for new EU stores, so sellers must calculate commissions separately for stores in different countries and cannot automatically extend a promotion granted in one country to other stores.
What does this mean for cross-border sellers?
Eligible new EU sellers can reduce the standard commission from 9% to 4% during the promotion, directly improving the margin available for testing short-video and livestream conversions. The promotion applies separately by store and eligibility, so sellers should rely on the Seller Center task or platform review result and must not apply it across countries.
What should sellers do now?
- 1Log in to the Seller Center for each EU country store, check whether a commission promotion task has been received, and record the applicable country, review status, and promotion start and end dates by store in a trackable eligibility table.Marketplace fee compare
- 2For each priority SKU planned for EU launch, recalculate price, gross margin, and profit after the 60-calendar-day period using both the standard 9% commission and the promotional 4% commission, and produce a store-specific profit calculation table.Profit calculator
- 3In target-country stores where eligibility has been confirmed, upload at least five in-stock products, check inventory status, product publishing results, and Seller Center task completion for each item, and save backend screenshots as launch evidence.Listing character checker
