What happened?
TikTok Shop Seller Academy updated the requirements and guidelines for U.S. LIVE Auctions on October 13, 2026. They apply to sellers participating in U.S. LIVE Auctions, official shop creators, marketing creators, and affiliate creators. The rules state that a LIVE Auction is only a change in sales format and does not reduce obligations related to product compliance, fulfillment, intellectual property, consumer protection, or after-sales service. To qualify for LIVE Auctions, a seller's account health rating (AHR) must be above 150. The account must also be in good standing and have no active restrictions or recent serious violations involving products, services, intellectual property, or other matters. Auction products must belong to permitted categories and have the required category qualifications, tool eligibility, and brand authorization. Product links, page information, the actual auction products, and inventory must be consistent. Sellers must also provide accurate product, inventory, price, and shipping information; ship orders based on auction results; and handle return, refund, and after-sales requests. Even when LIVE operations are delegated to hosts, agencies, or service providers, responsibility for products and orders does not transfer.
What does this mean for cross-border sellers?
U.S. LIVE Auction eligibility depends on an AHR above 150 and the account's status. Stores with an insufficient AHR, active restrictions, or recent serious violations may be unable to participate. Delegating livestream operations to hosts, agencies, or service providers does not transfer the seller's responsibility for product compliance, inventory, fulfillment, returns, refunds, or after-sales service.
What should sellers do now?
- 1Log in to the U.S. store this week to check the AHR, active restrictions, and recent product, service, and intellectual property violations, and create an auction eligibility checklist; completion requires an AHR above 150 and a screenshot or handling conclusion for every item.Listing character checker
- 2Review each U.S. Listing intended for auction, comparing the product link, page information, actual product, inventory, price, and shipping fee item by item. Delete or pause inconsistent links; completion requires one review record for every link.
- 3Create a LIVE Auction handover sheet for hosts, agencies, or service providers that defines product information, inventory, post-sale shipping, returns, refunds, and after-sales responsibilities, and conduct one drill this week; retain one copy each of the handover sheet and drill record.Creator Outreach
- 4Screen the products intended for auction and verify their sales categories, category qualifications, tool eligibility, and brand authorization. Separate sellable products from those awaiting documentation; completion requires a product list with qualification status marked for every sellable product.Procurement List
