TikTok Shop Updates OTDR Calculation Rules

What happened?
In its August 2026 policy update, TikTok Shop revised how the On-time Delivery Rate (OTDR) is calculated for certain platform-managed logistics orders. For eligible Collection by TikTok (CBT) or Upgraded TikTok Shipping orders, subsequent delivery delays caused by the carrier will not continue to reduce OTDR under specific conditions, provided that the seller dispatches the order within the applicable dispatch SLA. This change does not allow sellers to delay fulfillment. Sellers must still meet the required dispatch timeline, or their Late Dispatch Rate (LDR) may be affected. Seller Shipping orders continue to be evaluated against the promised delivery date, while Fulfilled by TikTok (FBT) orders remain excluded from OTDR calculations. The change mainly affects cross-border sellers and sellers using TikTok-managed logistics.
What does this mean for cross-border sellers?
For eligible CBT or Upgraded TikTok Shipping orders, carrier-caused delays after the seller ships within the dispatch SLA may not continue to reduce OTDR under specific conditions. This is not an exemption for late dispatches: control warehouse release, carrier pickup, and platform shipping times, or LDR may still be affected.
